About-Fitness-Health-Now

I’m Rebecca K. and I’m in my early 50’s. I’m the creator and the curator of content for FitnessHealthNow.com. I’m really into well-being, fitness, anti-aging, anti-cancer treatments, supplements and home remedies.

I’ve created FitnessHealthNow as a colorful, yummy place where you can find all kinds of information, inspiration and advice for following a healthy, cancer-free lifestyle.

So far I’m a recent survivor (late 2023) of Stage 3 Colon Cancer. I’d just bought this domain name and was laying out the website design when this news came as a complete shock and turned my life upside down in every way–emotionally, financially, and of course, colo-rectally! But then I thought: there’s a reason/timing for everything. Maybe this should become a platform for those seeking fitness and health (and some of that alternative info on anti-cancer) NOW. 🙂

Fitness-Health-Now-About

Ten short days after I got the news, I benefitted (my life was probably saved!) by a perfectly-executed laparoscopic/robotic colon resection surgery that shortened my colon by 10 inches. BUT I dared to refuse the offer of the chemotherapy afterwards: and it’s sure been scary to go against the grain of conventional chemical medicine! Never say never…I’ll let you know every detail here if and when chemo comes into my picture.

For the moment, I’ve committed to a more metabolically-focused route to gaining balance back in my life and body. Through a relatively strict diet, daily intermittent fasting, longer fasts, exercise, certain supplements, “repurposed medications” and plant-based teas/medicines, as well as detoxing treatments like the hyperbaric oxygen chamber and infrared sauna (and extreme surveillance)… I’m taking every day, every month as the next step in a journey where I don’t know for sure where it’s going. I know one thing: that I feel pretty darn good – ESPECIALLY since I gave up blatant sugar, lost some weight, started trampolining and doing squats/weights every day I can, and I embraced fasting and resting more.

But even for the most goal-oriented people, life has always been that “stepping into the unknown” way–with or without cancer, hasn’t it? 🙂

I take a lot of inspiration from those who have also walked this path before me and generously shared their own healing stories in websites, social content, YouTube, seminars, medical research and books. I’m happy to share references and recommendations to anything and everything to help you, too!

Won’t you join me here as you follow your own unique path to wellness, energy, vitality, and forever young-ness?
